Fearing that Caesar will make himself king, a group of Roman senators led by Cassius recruit the respected Brutus and stab Caesar to death in the Capitol on the Ides of March. Brutus lets Mark Antony speak at the funeral, and Antony's oration turns the crowd against the conspirators. Civil war follows. Brutus and Cassius quarrel, are defeated by Antony and Octavius at Philippi, and each dies by his own hand.

The catalogue entry above is complete: the dates, the form, the themes and every program that assigns Julius Caesar are verified against each program's published list.
What is missing is the part that takes real work: the summary, the key passages, and a recommended translation. The edition named below is the one most programs assign, so the buy links are useful already.
